Donna Kelce, the mother of Travis Kelce, recognizes several similarities between her son and his girlfriend, pop sensation Taylor Swift.
During a recent episode of iHeartRadio’s “Martha Stewart Podcast” on May 8, Donna, 71, expressed her admiration for both Travis and Taylor, noting their shared traits of friendliness, generosity, and compassion.
Travis and Swift, who are both 34 years old, began dating in the summer of 2023. Initially keeping their relationship low-key, they gradually went public, with Swift even attending one of Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs games alongside Donna in September of that year.
During her podcast appearance, Martha Stewart extended well wishes to Donna, acknowledging the unique nature of her situation with Travis and Taylor.
Donna coyly responded, “Time will tell,” when Martha Stewart brought up the topic. While she didn’t delve deeply into Travis and Taylor’s relationship, Donna expressed her admiration for Travis as an individual.
She described him as a fashion-conscious person who takes pride in his appearance, not for perfection but to bring joy to others. Travis enjoys dressing in a way that sparks laughter or conversation, often seeking to be the center of attention.
Donna Kelce, who also has an older son named Jason Kelce from her previous marriage to Ed Kelce, praised her youngest son Travis as being “very generous” and possessing a “good heart.” She explained in a recent Us Weekly cover story how both Travis and Jason developed these admirable traits.
According to Donna, the brothers had excellent coaches, teachers, and supportive families who influenced their upbringing positively. She emphasized the importance of treating everyone with respect, regardless of their position or status. Donna expressed her happiness at seeing her sons grow into the men they are today.
Since Taylor Swift began dating Travis, she has connected with Donna, Ed, Jason, and Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce. The group even watched Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowl LVIII together from a private suite in February.
A source revealed in March that Taylor Swift has become an integral part of Travis Kelce’s family, with them fully embracing her. This development marks a new chapter in Swift’s life.
On her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” released last month, Swift appears to make references to Travis. Donna, who listened to all 31 songs on the day of release, commented in April that it’s Swift’s best album yet. While some speculate that certain tracks are about Travis, Donna plans to ask Swift about it when they next meet.
